We just came back from a long walk and you can feel that hint of Spring in the air.
I know it’s still early and there is always that March snow storm that comes out of no where…. but I’m hopeful we’ll skip right over it
and get to dress weather already. Aiden was more than happy to kick off his boots several times during our walk,
anticipating the days where his feet will be free again. When we got home, I cut up some apples sprinkled with cinnamon for him and as I was doing so, was inspired to make an apple cinnamon smoothie. Simple, satisfying, and a great way to get the health benefits of cinnamon

Apple Cinnamon Smoothie
2 apples, peeled and chopped (I used macintosh)
12 frozen strawberries
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
2/3 cup strawberry yogurt
1 flat teaspoon of cinnamon
3-5 ice cubes
- Wash, peel and chop apples
- Place all ingredients into blender
- Blend on medium-high for 1-2 minutes
- Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top
