Baby Shower of Love

The day had come for a Minted party. It was sunny and beautiful after a night of rain; we were looking forward to a brunch with family and friends to celebrate our Little Girl on the way. The evening before, my mother, older sister and I – decorated the party room in our condo. We kept it fuss-free with craft paper table covers, but dressed up the decor with classic china, glass goblets and Shower of Love table confetti.

I pulled out one of my favorite vintage dresses for the occasion and crossed my fingers that it would fit over my growing baby bump. I had a small window left to wear it, and was happy to put it on for the day!  Mr. Smith and Little A. were dapper in their Ralph Lauren button downs and the little mister even managed to keep his clean the entire party!

Sweets and treats were easy to spot and I indulged in my fair share. My mom is an amazing baker and she didn’t disappoint. The dessert table was filled with Lemon Bread, Cranberry Banana Breakfast Loaf, Spiced Carrot Muffins, and Sweet Meringue cookies. For brunch, there was a choice of Classic or Cinnamon Raison French Toast, topped with Canadian Maple Syrup and fresh berries.  It was enjoyed by all!

The room was full of decorations by Minted. I love their “Shower of Love” party suite – it made such a beautiful decor!

All of our guests commented on how pretty the decorations were.

Opening gifts was just too much fun and my face was in a permanent state of swooning. Everything we received is just. too. precious! We were showered with love and presents, for which we are so thankful for.  It was really such a special day for the whole Smith family!  I loved that I got to share it with Mr. Smith and Aiden too.

As a thank you, my Mom made ‘Drop’ Cookies for our family and friends to take home. The note read “Thank you for dropping by!” To decorate the favor boxes, I used the favor cards and scalloped stickers that were included in the party suite, they were adorable!
