Apple Picking at Log Cabin Orchard in Ottawa

Since Little A’s first apple picking adventure 4 years ago, every fall we’ve headed to Log Cabin Orchard in Osgoode, just outside of the city, to pick our own apples. The beautiful orchard and farm grounds offer an inviting environment for locals to enjoy a lovely fall day outside. There are apples to be picked, a pumpkin patch to explore, wagon rides for the whole family, and recently, a small animal farm where you can pet goats and pigs (much to Little A’s delight!).

This was Abby’s first visit to the orchard and she quickly joined in the fun. Happily on daddy’s shoulders, she reached for her first apple and without a second though, bit right into it! We encouraged her to fill our bag with the next ones she got her hands on.

As the summer ended and the first leaves of fall fell to the ground, we enjoyed a gorgeous day walking through trees and finding our perfect macintoshes to bring home with us. The kids ran around, making new friends and delighting in the nature’s bounty.

Log Cabin Orchard is family owned and operated, boasting not only some of the finest apples in Ottawa but also home-made jams and baked goods. It is definitely worth the visit!

The kids weren’t in the mood for family photos, just more fun please!

For a fun-filled afternoon spent outdoors, Log Cabin Orchard is just a short drive outside of Ottawa and offers nature’s playground. You will know you have arrived by the glorious smell of hot apple cider brewing and the sound of people laughing and having a good time!

I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did.
