I love local produce. What can I say, it’s good stuff!
As much as possible, I buy local fruits & vegetables, honey, soaps – things that are made right here
in Ottawa, Ontario & Canada. It’s so important to support our farmers and community.
I was really happy to hear about a Farmer’s Market coming to the West End of Ottawa.
Setting right up in Bayshore Shopping Centre’s parking lot every wednesday from 11am-6pm.
Me and my Little One had to check it out!
The truth is, if you blink, you might miss it – it’s tiny. There are very few stalls & it takes
only 10 minutes to walk around them all. But, that doesn’t matter, because what is there, is fresh,
local, healthy, seasonal produce – and that’s fantastic.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a great welcoming atmosphere and
a really pleasant environment to shop in. I was so happy to find some great veggies and
delicious honey to take home.
It’s definitely worth stopping by and picking up seasonal goods.
