Today has been a fantastic day.
A good friend of mine came to visit, all the way from Austria!
She and her boyfriend are staying in our beautiful capital city for a few days
and I’m so happy to get to catch up and spend time together.
This morning I woke up feeling hung over. Not from a crazy party last night.
Well, not for me at least…my Little One might have been having his own
party in the crib and wanting me to join in.
I was in need of a good smoothie to shake off the sleepless night.
This recipe is simple and satisfying. It’s healthy, but not without a little chocolate.
I didn’t have any raw cocoa in the house, but I still wanted an extra bit of richness, so
I dug out the Fry’s (dutch-processed cocoa).
Try this recipe for a morning pick me up 😉
Triple Berry Smoothie
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 cup almond milk
5 Tbsp hemp hearts (or favorite protein)
1 Tbsp cocoa powder (unprocessed cocoa is best for antioxidants!)
3 ice cubes
Use ice crusher/frozen drink mode for first 5 minutes. Then blend on high.
Serve and enjoy right away!
