Could this dinnerware set be any more romantic? It’s soft, sweet, and delicate. A table set in hues of blush calls for Bellinis, citrus fruit salad, goat’s cheese on toast with figs; all manner of ethereal foods. Each piece in this set reminds me of Spring blossoms on a cherry tree and the early morning dawns that come with the turning of the season. I’ve completely fallen into a dream of an early breakfast, birds chirping by the open window, tangerine scones fresh from the oven, French pressed chicory, and Edith Piaf crooning in our dinette.
Would you say it’s possible for a tablescape to have such an effect on your mood? Perhaps it’s just me that gets taken away, but I doubt it. When you walk into a fine dining restaurant, are you not swept up by the grandness of a white crisp tablecloth, silverware, flowers, and a styled bread basket (for admiration only, of course)? At weddings and special events, the place settings and table decor are one of the things that draw me into the tone of the occasion. Is it classical, whimsical, grandiose, laid-back, romantic, or modern. I love how the arrangement of flowers and linens can have such impact.
This collection is from Indigo – an unexpected source for dinnerware, but boy did they hit the mark. I would like to carefully set all pieces at my dining room table, embellish with cream hydrangeas, invite my neighbours over for tea and biscuits and then discuss light-hearted afternoon topics, while gently patting away crumbs from the corner of my mouth. That’s what dinnerware like this was made for.
We designed our exclusive plate with a soft swirl of colour that drifts from its center into in a warm ivory rim. It’s a versatile piece that works in so many ways: pair it with our Swirl plates in coordinating colours for a fresh and fun spring table set… A beautiful linen napkin makes any meal a more elegant affair. Ours has a soft hand and generous hemmed edge, and comes in fresh colours just for spring.
