Unique gems created with intent to ensue perfection with any outfit. Each piece may be crafted with semi-precious stones, glass or wood while being paired with gold & silver chain, rope or faux suede to complete the perfect hand-made item.
I stumbled upon Lisa Simmon’s Etsy shop a couple of months ago. Her beautiful, unique jewelry spoke to me and it wasn’t long before I envisioned them paired with a beloved blouse or Summer dress. I love when you can feel an artist’s character through their work – and I feel as though there is a part of her in each hand-made piece. The necklace that I fell hardest for is gold dipped quartz; it’s breathtaking! So who, you may ask, is the lady behind the gorgeous handmade jewelry? She is certainly one of Ottawa’s finest and today’s Etsy Spotlight.
Behind the jewels…
I work as a registered nurse here in Ottawa. Throughout nursing school my passion for jewelry turned into a small business when I began to sell my pieces in the university bookstore. While outside my scrubs, I find myself fashion forward and of course, accessory driven to pull my outfits together. I’m inspired by different textures and color – I’m often told my personality shines through in each piece of my work.
What a success story! Do go visit her lovely Etsy shop and see for yourself all the wonderful pieces there are to fall in love with!
