Oh, I just love stumbling across unique, creative, and fun children’s products! When I discovered Wee Gallery, it was love at first site. Their online boutique drew me in and I was immediately taken with all the adorable toys and books, most of which are in black and white; ideal for newborns who are attracted to the contrast.
When our son was born we read everything. We read about how to interpret babies’ cries and change their diapers. We discovered that babies develop in so many ways during the first 5 years that it dwarfs everything they learn over the entire rest of their lives. That seemed pretty incredible considering how much we learned as parents during his first six weeks of life. We learned that newborns can only see 12 to 15 inches away and they are most taken with their parent’s faces and black and white geometric figures. Experimenting with the latter idea, Wee Gallery was born.
Wee Gallery animals are made of high-contrast repeating patterns to stimulate visual development in infants – and that they do. I can’t believe our Little Miss, at 2 weeks old, locked eyes on her soft book and reached for the animals. She spends an alert time of around 15 minutes twice daily – looking, smiling, and reaching for them. It’s wild to see the connection happening!
Hop on over to the online shop to see all of their darling products!
