Sunday Living 33.52

This weekend I picked up a big vegetable and fruit haul from Farm Boy. Gorgeous local produce filled the store and it was hard not to over-buy. The colours of summer, with the suggestion of fall, lined the aisles and made my imagination burst with ideas of recipes to come. The word harvest came to mind. It’s coming in and it’s bountiful. 

We’ve been under the weather as a family for a few days and today the tide is turning. The sun is coming out after what feels like a week of cool weather and rain. I am eager to go outside and play this afternoon! Yesterday we were cooped up inside, but we made the most of it. We rented Muppets Most Wanted, which was hilarious, and I worked in the kitchen testing out a new recipe which involved those beautiful yellow plums; can’t wait to share!

Apart from enjoying some much-needed fresh air, today is easy-going. We’re building up our immune system, after a slight blow, with green smoothies and vitamin C. I’m always thankful to kick a cold good-bye and grateful for our health!
