I tend to do a little bit of both. On the one hand, I love discovering fresh colours that inspire me to add a splash to my wardrobe or living space. On the other hand, I will always have a few favourite colours that I can’t live without – no matter what the colour forecast says each season.
This spring, Pantone selected a palette of warm and cheery hues and I liked most of them! Specifically, I really like the lavender herb, and I am also drawn to the Sandstone as a new living room paint. But if you’re not quite ready to commit to redecorating your home or taking on a paint job, then you can always add the trendy palette as pops of colour around the house.
Inspiration Behind Pantone Spring 2015 Colour Palette
Many feel compelled to be connected around the clock because we are afraid we’ll miss something important. There is a growing movement to step out and create ‘quiet zones’ to disconnect from technology and unwind, giving ourselves time to stop and be still,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Color choices follow the same minimalistic, ‘en plein air’ theme, taking a cue from nature rather than being reinvented or mechanically manipulated. Soft, cool hues blend with subtle warm tones to create a soothing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Home accessories are the perfect way to spruce up your decor and make it ‘very now’ – without a total room makeover or breaking the bank. Take a look through the slides to see my picks of Pantone-approved stylish home and kitchen accessories.
