It’s no secret that I’ve been living in my Simon’s plaid flannel shirt and Old Navy curvy jeans (I have a few pairs!). It’s just my groove right now. I want to be comfortable, especially with the cool and damp weather we’ve been having in Ottawa. If the wind is blowing, I layer with a tank top under my shirt, a vest and blanket scarf. I love the khaki plaid for fall, it goes with everything!
For mornings when I go to the bus stop with Little A, I usually throw on my red uggs, vest and mittens to face the chilly start of the day. My favourite mittens are of course the Olympic Red Mittens. Since 2009, Hudson’s Bay has contributed more than $28 million to Canadian athletes via the Canadian Olympic Foundation (COF), the official charity of the Canadian Olympic Movement that raises funds to support current Olympians, future Olympians and the sport system in Canada. I’ve been purchasing them for a few years now, because I love their look and they keep my hands warm all winter long.
On rainy autumn days, I reach for my hunter boots and bright lipstick! No need to feel grey just because the weather is. To bring it up a level, I’ve been sporting my new necklace from Happiness Boutique. It’s so beautiful and sparkly – it makes any outfit shine! I’ve had many compliments on it for its sheer gorgeousness! The necklace is a vintage-inspired style featuring a delicate floral design. Adorned with rhinestone and acrylic beads, this statement necklace looks lovely with a daytime blouse or little black dress.
Fall is all about coziness to me. Warm fabrics and textures, nude lipstick with a sweep of bronzer (especially when you are wearing all things red, a neutral lip looks best in my opinion) – traditional plaids, ribbed sweaters, and knit accessories. What is your favourite look for fall?
