There’s no doubt that Spring marks the beginning of wedding season. From this month on until the late fall, bridal showers and weddings seem to pop up every month. Perhaps you are even newly engaged yourself and it’s your turn to celebrate? Or maybe, you are throwing a shower for your best friend or daughter?
Today I’m sharing some simple and helpful tips to creating a beautiful “Something Blue” party.
To begin with, pick your blue! Whether you find a swatch of fabric or a drinking cup in the perfect shade of blue, use it as your guide to match the rest of the items in your decor.
Check out your local bulk store to pick out candy favours (like coloured jordan almonds), cupcake decorations, and other ingredients to make treats in your theme colour (like macarons).
Visit HotRef Party Favors online to order party favours and personalized decor, like balloons and banners.
Every party should have a focal point and that’s where your party table comes into play. Here’s where you’re going to set the stage your food and desserts, as well as favour boxes. Items to check off your list would be dessert platters, vases for flowers, napkins, plates, and cutlery. Depending on the style of party, you could use colourful paper tabletop items. To make it even simpler, you can purchase a Something Blue party kit that covers all your decor needs.
Because blue is the focus colour of the party, stick to a soft complimentary colour like white, buttercup yellow or lavender as to not clash with it. You can also let guests know that there will be a theme to the party, because it let’s them in on it when choosing a gift, card, or even their attire.
I hope you have a fabulous Something Blue party and enjoy every moment from planning to celebrating!
Those are good tricks. When I want to throw a party I always think about the color. Finally I have to look for specific elements and when I am run out of someone I have to use those I have in my stuff or go to shop and buy something immediately.
I think it’s worth take the time to prepare decorations so my party will be exactly as I imagined it.
