My husband is all about outdoor workouts. I’m not exaggerating when I say that our backyard has a dumbbells, kettle bells, resistance bands, 50-100 pound rocks and logs for lifting all scattered about. Now that the weather has warmed up, exercising outside is part of his daily activities (and mine too!).
Having comfortable and functional activewear is a key part of working out. Giant Tiger’s ACX Active line has an excellent fit that moves with your body and keeps you dry during your workout.
David is wearing ACX Men’s Performance shirts and shorts in both these looks. They range in price from $10-$14 which is incredibly budget-friendly. He’s put them to the test with two cross-fit workouts as well as backyard plyometrics. The verdict? Great gear that absorbs sweat, allows you to move, and looks good too!
The outfits that he picked up are light-weight and breathable. They’re just what you need during spring workouts or even to wear as athleisure that keeps you cool when the summer heat turns up.
May is Fitness & Health Month – it serves as a reminder to take care of your body! The Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of weekly moderate to vigorous aerobic physical activity for ages 18-64. Working out, even in small bursts of 10 minutes, can lead to better overall fitness, strength, and mental health.
There are lots of ways to get moving, here are a few ideas:
- Join a walking or running club
- Go for a walk on your lunch break or after dinner
- Bike to and from work
- Do garden work: rake leaves, mow the lawn, weed the garden
- Take up your favourite childhood sport and join a for-fun league
- Be active with your family: go swimming, go for a bike ride, play at the park
- Jump rope and run drills in your backyard
Giant Tiger makes it easy and affordable to pick up some great looking and functional activewear to help you look and feel your best while you workout. You can see some of the styles available online and more options in a store near you.
Cheers to your health!
