Today, as I sit comfortably in my boyfriend jeans and sweatshirt, I look back on a weekend of glitz and glamour – from attending the swinging London-themed BASH 2016 at the stunning new Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park to walking the red carpet at W Montreal’s Pit Stop events celebrating Grand Prix.
Most days, I can be spotted with a top-knot and jeans. But when I get the opportunity to attend such fabulous events, getting dressed up is part of the fun! And this gold sequin dress from ASOS, is all about the fun.
There were so many possible style options to choose that would fall into the London theme, it was a tough choice, but ultimately I channelled my inner Bond girl.
The gold sequin dress had enough sparkle and shine on its own, so I chose minimalistic accessories – A sleek vintage black patent leather clutch with gold accents, barely there ankle strap heels, black faux diamond drop earrings, and Swarovski while crystal ring and beaded bracelet.

Bond girls are all about glamour, so I added volume and bounce to my hair and did a warm smokey eye, using shimmering browns, golds and dark grey (instead of black). On my lips, I wore the new Lancome Juicy Shaker in Mangoes Wild , for a sheer pinky-orange lip. If you haven’t tried the new Juicy Shakers, you’ll love them! Their assorted fragrances are delicious and the lightweight oil-formula melts into the lips leaving them soft and radiant.

I absolutely loved wearing this dress to Ottawa’s BASH 2016 London Calls gala. I also enjoyed seeing all the gorgeous and original outfits that guests were wearing! If you’re curious, check out the hashtag #BASH2016 on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook to see some of the fabulous styling.
Now, back to sorting laundry! Have a lovely Monday friends.
With love and gratitude, Emily xo
