Stylish & Comfortable Toddler Shoes From Geox
Is your two year old obsessed with shoes? ‘Cause mine is! She has it bad. I mean, I may have contributed to her love of shoes by buying her a few too many pairs – but regardless of my overindulgence, this girl is ALL about shoes (mine included!) Her shoe-attention has been mostly focused on her assortment of flip-flips (who doesn’t love ’em) and a particularly beloved pair of gold strappy sandals. However, recently when she saw a pair of shoes Nana picked up for her big brother, major shoe envy kicked in and I knew we had to head to Geox. We were already planning to get her some new kicks for fall, but she definitely encouraged an earlier trip to the store when she kept sneaking her brother’s shoes and claiming them as her own!
Well fitting shoes are so important for everyone, especially kids who are developing their balance and stride. The staff at Geox were extremely kind and explained how to measure my daughter’s foot and make sure that the shoes I picked were the right size for her.
I had showed Abby some of the options online, and she was smitten with the light-up shoes (just like her big bro). On the day I visited Geox, I was with Aiden (Abby was a bit under the weather and at home my husband) – we found her a beautiful pair of pink light-up shoes, a match to the ones Aiden picked out for himself.
They are called the Shuttle Shoe and come in a variety of colours (see geox.com or in stores for details).
As I mentioned, the sales staff showed me how to pull out the insole and properly measure it against my daughter’s foot to ensure it was the right size for her feet. She reiterated that it was super important to measure at home and if it wasn’t within the guideline, to come on back and exchange the shoe. That kind of service and information is really appreciated and I felt confident when I returned home that I would be able to tell if we chose the right size and style.
My son did the honours of giving Abby her new shoes; she opened them up with glee and was thrilled with them! I took out the insoles, which has measurement lines to help guide you – and she put her feet on them to see if they were a good length and width. Happily, they were and she was excited to wear them all day long!
Of course, we had to take the kids to the park to really put their new shoes to the test. Not only did they look super stylish, the kids confirmed that they were comfortable (yes, I asked them over and over – just to make sure!).
Abby can be picky when it comes to shoes – and I don’t blame her. Comfort and style is key, even for a toddler, and this pair is one hundred percent toddler approved.
