Easter is just one week away! Have you thought about how you will be celebrating? For our family, Easter has deep meaning as we take time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It’s a beautiful few days to reflect, rejoice, and have fun with our kids, family, and friends. Our celebrations also happen to include the Easter Bunny visiting, leaving a trail of chocolates and giving Easter baskets to the children. We always include lots of chocolate in the festivities, because it’s everyone’s favourite treat and we love a good excuse to enjoy some! My husband and I will be playing Easter Bunny and hiding Purdys chocolate eggs all around the house (and maybe outside if we have a warmer spring day!), as well as filling our kiddos baskets with lots of chocolaty surprises!
What else should I put in my kids Easter Basket?
Along with chocolate, we like to choose Easter gifts our kids will be able to use and play with the day of and well into springtime. Some of the little gifts we like to include are: stickers, play dough, puzzles, and socks – just to name a few. There are so many unique gift ideas you can include in Easter baskets so I thought I would share a few of the ones we’re gifting our children, as well as some other ideas I’ve used in the past or just simply as inspiration to help you find some special items to include in your munchkins’ baskets.

Where to shop for Easter Basket Gifts
Personally, I love to check out dollar stores, craft stores, and school supply stores to get fresh ideas. There always seems to be something unique or adorable that stands out as a perfect addition to my kiddos’ baskets. Most of the items above you can easily find at your local mall.
In addition to their Easter gifts, I like to pick out a spring outfit that’s fit for our Easter celebrations and wearable again throughout the new season. This year, I found a few cute pieces at The Children’s Place, including a bunny ear headband for Abigail! I can’t wait to snap some photos of my kids sporting their cute outfits this coming weekend. Keep an eye out on instagram 😉
So tell me, are your kids looking forward to Easter as much as mine are?
