I’m Smitten For Spring Activewear, Are You?
Luscious lavenders and whimsical florals are just some of the softer elements I’m falling for this season as the new lines of activewear are hitting stores.
The versatility of fitness clothing has evolved from sporting sweats and hoodies to the gym, to being worn for a quick lunch or a trip to the mall for groceries. A lot of both big and small brands are creating activewear designs that you can comfortably wear as a daily casual outfit or to a yoga class. Due to its versatility, chic activewear has become a wardrobe staple for women who love both fitness and fashion.
I’m totally in love with wearing activewear aka athleisure, and I’m smitten with the softer side of the activewear collections in 2018. They offer colour choices varying from blush, millennial pink, baby blue, and heathered grey along with looser fits, crossing over loungewear to activewear. The variety seems endless and the comfort level is optimal, without discounting style.
We’re seeing more innovative activewear than ever with very functional fabrics and cuts. The fabrics are lightweight and breathable; they don’t trap heat. They use moisture-wicking technology to draw moisture away from the skin and keep you dry and comfortable while also increasing performance. These fabrics are a combination of strength, style, comfort, and warmth. The wearable pieces make going to the gym, running errands, and cuddling up on the couch all the more enjoyable!
Keep an eye out for softer colours and silhouettes this season. I love the softer colours and muted hues, they are so pleasing to the eye and are super chic, in my opinion. Soft colours are a classic spring staple and a perfect choice that is timeless enough you can wear them year after year.

Key pieces serve the purpose of exercising without being restricted and then comfortably transforming into daily attire where the styles, fabrics, and cut of the clothes is acceptable in a casual setting.
I’m highlighting some of my favourite spring activewear finds today, focusing on softer colours, fabrics and cuts that are just lovely for the warmer season ahead.
What do you think, are you loving the pastel and floral trend we’re seeing in activewear for springtime?
