Although the warm weather is moving along, I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to iced beverages just yet – and I’m definitely
not kicking my smoothie habit to the curb any time soon. Yes, reaching for a tall cold glass during steamy Summer days is probably more likely to happen than when there’s snow on the ground – but I’ll still make it happen, because they do the body good
So, on that note, I’m kicking off this week with my first Fall Smoothie recipe (which I’m calling an iced pumpkin latte)
and telling you all about the most amazing glass straw

and no other shoe (read: straw) will ever feel right again!
Once upon a time, my husband told me that I couldn’t re-use my plastic straws any longer, because they weren’t meant to be washed and re-used (bacteria). So, I hit up google in search of something better. Alas, I found Glass Dharma

Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
4 heaping Tablespoons of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling in a can!)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla
2-3 drops of stevia, optional
12-14 ice cubes
- Place all ingredients in a blender.
- Use ice crush method to break down ice cubes.
- Blend on medium-high until smooth.
