Finding Our Spirit of Adventure with the 2015 Ford Expedition

A visit to the Wakefield Covered Bridge

Where does an adventure begin? Does it start its journey from your heart and your mind? Or is it the exact place where you choose to turn left down the long road instead of right?

Some adventures are planned, some are impromptu – and then there is the kind of adventure you only realize occurred after the fact, while you’re looking in the rear view mirror of life.

At the beginning of summer, my family decided to take a getaway – a 3 day trip to the region of Outaouais, just across the Ontario border into Quebec. It was a planned trip; we had an itinerary and we knew where we were going. But something happened when I got behind the wheel of the new 2015 Ford Expedition – the spirit of adventure came over me. Yes, we had an outline, but there was the open road with places and things yet discovered.

Smooth ride all the way up to Mont Cascades Water Park

Ford Canada let my family test a 2015 Ford Expedition Platinum for a week and it was the perfect ride to take on a road trip! This vehicle embodies comfort and luxury. The beautiful leather seats fit your body and make you even forget you’re on the road. There is plenty of space to spread out and feel at ease while traveling. It was particularly apparent with my two kids who weren’t in each other’s personal bubble while we drove and didn’t get upset once during our drives.

The 2015 Ford Expedition has so many terrific features, including an awesome SONY sound system to blast your favourite jams.

Beautiful interior with lots of space The SONY stereo was one of my favourite features!

Of course the stereo is just one of my favourite golden features. There is also the sky roof, a keyless entry with push button start, air conditioned seats (what?!), the drop down step to help you into the SUV, and the rear view camera. Oh, and the super cool phone synching tool, SYNC®6makes it easy to make a call or listen to a text message using easy, intuitive voice commands.

Stylish look outside and inside With the press of a button, the backseats fold down into plenty of storage space

Whether your adventure is calculated or spontaneous (or a bit of both), it’s an adventure none the less – full of new discoveries, experiences, and memories being made.

The 2015 Ford Expedition was part of our family’s summer adventure and certainly contributed to its enjoyment. Driving through the hills and valleys of the Outaouais region was a smooth, enjoyable ride which lead to exciting events and fun outings.
